A brilliant dark ruby red colour, in the nose this wine starts off with dark fruit aromas, smoky vanilla and a hint of licorice. After a while, strawberry jam and thyme join to the mix. This is a full-bodied wine with excellent tannic structure, filling the mouth with intense black cherry, mulberry, garrique and woodsmoke. Although providing immediate trinking pleasure, this wine has potential to improve during the next 5 years.
