L'autre Blanc 2017 - Domaine d'Aigues Belles

Grape variety: 40% Roussanne, 40% Sauvignon blanc, 20% Chardonnay

Vinification: maturation in oak barrels/steel tank 3 months

Alcohol: 14.0%

Almost like liquid gold in the glass, L'autre Blanc is a truly gastronomic wine. In it's youth, herbal/vegetal and flowery notes like grass, blackcurrant leaves and honeysuckle dominate the nose, but with some air or bottle aging, a complex bouquet develops with ripe lemon, peach and honeyed almonds.

The wine is luscious on the tongue, almost oily. Its bright acidity provides a perfect balance and ageing potential. Sweeter aromas like pineapple, canned peach and honey are countered with a slight bitter note of orange marmalade. Pairs well with many foods and cheeses.
